Instead of using my art skills to decorate my high school graduation cap, I decided to utilize my CAD and 3D printing skills to design, model, and ultimately 3D print decorations for my college cap. Relying on the abilities of the computer, I was able to print MIT’s logo completely proportionally and parallel to center of the graduation cap. The “2024” banner is designed in such a way where the numbers extend beyond the height of the white inlay. And lastly, the dome on the top of the cap is meant to symbolize the dome at MIT.
